Mini Sessions & Why I LOVE them as a Mom & a Photographer!

Let’s talk MINI SESSIONS!  I love them, both as a photographer and as a mom!  Minis are also great for families without kids.  Let’s document that LOVE of yours!!

Here are the top 5 reasons why I love minis sessions!

1) 30 minutes is all I need to capture both “posed look at the camera” and more fun, creative shots.  Getting people to interact in front of my camera is my specialty, and if you let me do my thing, everyone will have fun!  No yelling here, we are all here to relax, have fun, and love each other.  With several years of technical & posing knowledge, I really know how to maximize our time together.  Just come with a smile and be willing to listen to my cues!

2) Kids listen to the crazy, silly lady with the camera! 30 minutes seems short, but any longer and it becomes torture to them. Trust me, the wheels DO fall off, and usually we can keep everyone entertained and happy for 30 minutes!  Shorter session for shorter attention spans!  ;)

3) I select pre-determined locations for minis.  This means I know not to choose locations with distractions (playgrounds, lots of dogs, etc.) and I know the landscape and lighting.  I also select places where we can stay centrally located without moving around to too many locations.  It works both for time and also bringing a cohesive look to your photos when displayed in your home!  Plus I’m always looking for gorgeous new places to shoot!

4) My minis are always at sunset for the best lighting!  Trust me, it’s gorgeous!

5) Minis allow you to document the growth and changes of your family yearly, while staying within a budget!

Here is a mini session set.  Look at all these different poses and  combinations we got in 30 minutes!  Nothing but framers!  ;)

I just opened up 2 Summer Sunset Mini Session Dates!  Reservations can be made HERE!

Trevor & His 1965 Ford F100 | Short North Senior Photos!

When Trevor’s mom contacted me to do his Senior Photos and told me he had a vintage truck, I was super pumped. I might have squealed with excitement!  I’m a vintage gear head myself!  Many days of my childhood were spent going to car shows and I’m pretty sure I had posters of cars on my bedroom walls instead of NKOTB.  Well, car and the Beatles posters.  I’m a 60′s &  70′s nut so this was RIGHT up my alley!  Trevor and I had such a fun time exploring the Short North and then playing with his truck!   Keep on, keeping on, Trevor!  :)

Elec | Dublin Jerome Senior Photos

Elec’s mom is a yoga friend of mine and I was SUPER excited to take Elec’s Senior Photos!  This young man has style and passion!  He knew he wanted to have an industrial vibe for his Senior Photos, so we headed down to the Arena District. Elec’s style is off the charts…the pictures speak for themselves!  He will be going to Columbia College Chicago  in the fall to study Creative Brand Management, Business, Fashion Design, and Entrepreneurship!  Follow your dreams Elec!  It was so fun creating art with you!

The Crawford Family | Dublin Ohio Family Lifestyle Photographer

I met Becky, Ryan, Ella, & Myles in Old Dublin this past Fall for a fun lifestyle family shoot!  Wow, what a gorgeous night we had!  The Fall colors were amazing!  Becky’s eye for color & design with their clothing complimented the Fall colors perfectly!  We roamed the streets and talked about family vacations and just had a blast getting to know each other.
