Hannah | Hilliard Senior Portraits

I have been photographing Hannah’s family since 2010, so when her mom asked me to do her Senior Portraits I:

1) Couldn’t believe how fast time has flown and that Hannah was a Senior

2) Was so excited to photograph this independent, smart, beautiful young woman!

We met at Park of Roses after a beautiful sunny day, however as we pulled in, dark storm clouds were looming overhead.  So we did half of her shoot and then came back another night for round two.  Thanks for taking the time to do a second round with me Hannah!  I had fun getting to know you and wish you all the best for your bright future!

Jane | The Wellington School Senior Portraits

When Jane’s mom emailed me to photograph her youngest daughter, Jane, I was so excited!  I created senior portraits for her older sister Kate and I know how sweet and fun this family is!  We had fun exploring Powell and creating these beautiful portraits for Jane’s high schools memories!  Jane is such a sweetheart!

Allison & Tyler | Maternity Photography Powell Ohio

I had so much fun with these two getting to know them!  We started at their house…look at that sweet pink nursery!  Allison has such great style!  They braved the cold and then we hit Jeni’s ice cream for even more  fun.  Thanks Allison &  Chris and congrats on your new baby girl!

Brady & Family | Dublin Ohio Lifestyle Newborn & Family Photographer

I’ve known this beautiful mom, Priscilla,  for several years as a photographer friend.   She is one of those people you can not see in years, but the moment you reconnect it’s like you’ve never been apart.  🙂   She’s also a L&D nurse and her love for life is so beautiful!  She wanted to document their beautiful family with a lifestyle newborn shoot of her third boy, Brady!  I love newborns and showing their sweet, innocent, precious life.  Instead of posing them and propping them , we let the baby lead and use mom and dad for comfort.  Congratulations Mike & Priscilla!  Documenting your family grow is such a blessing!  XOXO

Mini Sessions & Why I LOVE them as a Mom & a Photographer!

Let’s talk MINI SESSIONS!  I love them, both as a photographer and as a mom!  Minis are also great for families without kids.  Let’s document that LOVE of yours!!

Here are the top 5 reasons why I love minis sessions!

1) 30 minutes is all I need to capture both “posed look at the camera” and more fun, creative shots.  Getting people to interact in front of my camera is my specialty, and if you let me do my thing, everyone will have fun!  No yelling here, we are all here to relax, have fun, and love each other.  With several years of technical & posing knowledge, I really know how to maximize our time together.  Just come with a smile and be willing to listen to my cues!

2) Kids listen to the crazy, silly lady with the camera! 30 minutes seems short, but any longer and it becomes torture to them. Trust me, the wheels DO fall off, and usually we can keep everyone entertained and happy for 30 minutes!  Shorter session for shorter attention spans!  😉

3) I select pre-determined locations for minis.  This means I know not to choose locations with distractions (playgrounds, lots of dogs, etc.) and I know the landscape and lighting.  I also select places where we can stay centrally located without moving around to too many locations.  It works both for time and also bringing a cohesive look to your photos when displayed in your home!  Plus I’m always looking for gorgeous new places to shoot!

4) My minis are always at sunset for the best lighting!  Trust me, it’s gorgeous!

5) Minis allow you to document the growth and changes of your family yearly, while staying within a budget!

Here is a mini session set.  Look at all these different poses and  combinations we got in 30 minutes!  Nothing but framers!  😉

I just opened up 2 Summer Sunset Mini Session Dates!  Reservations can be made HERE!
